The brief was brand development for the online real estate company, easy Property. In addition the development had to fit the brand core style of the main easy.com brand, yet also to have its own identity as a property platform. Part of the core easy brand styling is to use simple zoomed in photographs, as simplicity suggests easy. To energise this simplicity, we introduced the art of doodles to create a vibrant and personal feel to the imagery. So many people doodle, not just artistic people, so the style evokes familiarity to all, helping the audience to connect with the brand. Being simple, the doodles were easy to create, and not being perfect meant that the doodles were quick to create and easy to produce when needed, which fitted the ethos and budget for the brand. Abstract asymmetrical gradient backgrounds were also designed, for when small digital assets were needed. The style was adopted for printed marketing materials, and online assets, and the doodle style is still is in use today on the website.
